The Jane Jones Beca Program
The Jane Jones Beca was started in 1999 by missionaries to Costa Rica Phil and Jane Jones. The Beca Program, now named after the late Jane Jones, was started as a way to demonstrate God's love in a very practical and much needed way. With donations received to help just 4 students pay for a year of schooling, the Beca program was born. Over the years, the program has helped dozens of students and their families in need. In a country where over half of all students drop out before finishing high school, the JJB program is not only relevant but radically life changing for both the students and their families. This is a letter we received last year from one of our students. "I really appreciate your support because with your help I have almost finished high school. Next year I want to go to the University so I can study education for people with special needs, so I will start helping people just like you do! Thank God because He let me know you, and for being part of this wonderful program. Sincerely, Carla" JJB Program Quick Facts The Jane Jones Beca Program is not just a hand out.
